Culture

Our Corporate Social Responsibility is at the heart of what we do, and we take this very seriously by supporting the local economy, protecting vital local jobs, and boosting businesses through the supply chain.

To be a Disability Confident Leader is a standard which shows commitment to supporting disabled people to find work, provide work experience opportunities and to stay in work. We now want to help other businesses to sign up to the scheme

Our Social Value Commitments

Working in partnership with local social enterprises, including the Employment, Skills and Learning teams; strengthen the local economy by spending with local suppliers and creating new jobs in the region; support residents in the more deprived areas of the borough through community initiatives such as tackling fuel poverty; investing in local community groups.

People Focus

The success of our business depends on the skills and experience of each employee. We are committed to a diverse workforce and to helping everyone meet their full potential both at work and in their communities.

We offer great careers and structured training to everyone from senior professionals to modern apprentices, and we welcome applications from anyone who shares our commitment in high quality service delivery.

Our team includes experienced public and private sector professionals. By combining these skills we create innovative ways to help our clients and customers.

Our Communities

Our Communities

Not only do we encourage our employees to use our internal volunteering scheme to work with the local communities, but we are committed to providing support and opportunities for the residents of the boroughs in which we operate. Our Employees are committed to support local and national charities but to also work with local community groups.

Community Focus

We consider the positive impact our business can have both through our client partnerships and the active contribution of our people. We provide access to employment in the communities in which we operate, offering career visits, placements and apprenticeships. This helps us contribute to the local economy and also find skilled people to fulfil our business ambitions.

We also encourage employees to participate in our internal volunteering scheme, as well as participating in fundraising for charity. So far, Qwest staff have raised thousands of pounds for local and national charities.

Our Environment

Our Environment

We help clients to introduce remote and flexible working and to access ‘on demand’ software, reducing the impact of technology on the environment and improving the quality of life for employees. We offer this same service to our people, minimising travel to work and supporting flexible working.

We have an active social media account on twitter that helps to celebrate our CSR successes. Have a look at our recent posts and follow us to keep updated.
